February 11, 2015 - This is the first time we have tried this relatively new to us, "Classic" label Shiraz Cabernet blend. Bought it a Kroger for almost twice we pay for the regular label, were expecting a step above in flavor and concentration, but were disappointed. Though mildly fruity, and mostly characteristic to these 2 noble red varietals, the overall impression was basically thin and washed out. The color was Aussie Shiraz purple. The nose was somewhat industrial not necessarily fruity. There is some rotary fermented style red and dark fruit, but it just lacks any real concentration. A little air and time in the glass helped, but still pretty thin and boring.
