Community Tasting Notes 2

August 8, 2015 - Have to write about this one a second time because the tasting experience is considerably different. This is still the best unoaked Chardonnay I have tried in a while. But, this time, the nose, and the first taste, is super expressive white pear flavor. There is a really neat, companion taste of lanolin that really enhances the pear. By the time we get to the mid palate, some super crisp citrus type flavors begin to drown out the pear, but it appears again lingering on in the finish. Don't quite think of this as an 89 pointer this time, not quite concentrated enough.

February 21, 2015 - I liked this a lot. This is one of the most tasty unoaked Chardonnay's I have ever had. It is very young and fresh, but so complete and together. A pure expression of the Chardonnay grape with minimalist intervention. Really fresh clean expressive tropical fruit like grapefruit and gooseberry on the nose and palate. Very fresh crisp acidity with little or no malo lactic fermentation. Has a close to full bodied Chardonnay mouth feel while being super smooth and elegant. A little spicy on the finish.
