  October 3, 2015 - Deep, dark maroon. Plummy, black fruit bouquet is bolstered with earthy notes of wet foliage, mushrooms, and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is supple, ample, and agile, offering plenty of rich fruit and wonderful, medicinal complexity. Black currants open up to rich, savory notes of carob and walnut shell. The finish is dry and the mature flavors linger.

  April 15, 2012 - Backup wine for a dinner of roast beef, roasted roots and sauteed pea shoots. Decanted about 3 hours. Syrah-like nose of anise and spice. Very rich, mouth-coating dark fruit with strangely dull, metallic middle bit but plenty of tannin and spice in the tail end. A solid effort drinking nicely right now.

  January 26, 2012 - Wine surprised me as it overachieved. Good fruit, balanced and flovorful. Could be an everyday cab for cab lovers and would not disappoint.
