Community Tasting Notes 7

November 10, 2019 - Yummi - lovely red Burgundy. Almost 7 years from harvest and this wine is beginning to develop these classic "Sous bois notes" of earth. rain sewer, mushrooms and wet forrest floor. A nose of red fruit compote and hints of vanilla combined delicate savory notes. The taste is fruity and elegant and with tight acidity. While Burgundy is an expensive region, this wine is actually "fair" in relation to price vs. quality, because with a price of 60 € pr. bottle this wine is actually pretty neat and delicate!

October 13, 2018 - A bit too ripe, tannins a bit dry, but it is Nuits.

    June 11, 2018 - Always a guarantee of quality.
Nice complexity, a bit floral, a bit fruity, a bit (dried) herbal, with elegance in the mouth without forgetting concentration. Very pleasant silky tannins.

April 27, 2018 - Very pure pinot, nearly soapy (positive) bouquet; I had wished a bit more persistence in the finish.

April 21, 2018 - Wijnkoperij Okhuysen Annual Tasting (Haarlem, NL): Tasting, brief note. Last tasted almost three years ago and has developed very well. Strikes a beautiful balance between the refined style of wine making and the earth and iron masculinity of the terroir.
