December 26, 2023 - Red fruit, tobacco old shoe leather and dried flowers. Soft texture with layers of goodness. Good juice.

December 8, 2023 - Prior bottle was 13 months ago and my notes were generally consistent. Black cherry, lots of spices and some earth notes on the nose. Oak/vanilla qualities on the nose were a bit more noticeable than previously. Just over medium bodied with black cherry upfront, adding some black raspberry through the middle. Still takes a good amount of time (four hours) to really come together and start showing some roundness. Tannins and acidity on the backside provide structure. Minerals, spices and earth on the finish with the spice note a bit dominant. Overall, I'd been hoping for positive evolution over my prior bottle, maybe some sense that this wine was coming together. Unfortunately, it's one of two tracks, either (i) it still needs more time to come together or (ii) it's come as far as it can and given how my last two bottles have shown, will never quite reach where I'd hoped, even given my significantly reduced expectations (as compared to high professional scores). I'm more leaning towards option #2 now and if that's the case, the score may need to go down. I'll plan to open my next bottle a bit sooner, maybe Summer 2024.

October 7, 2023 - Pretty wine but still holding back. Hold for at least a couple more years.

July 3, 2023 - Dark crimson with burnt orange edges. Signature Brunello profile of dark cherry flesh, cranberries, sweet tobacco leaf, clove and spices. A beautifully structured palate with high-toned acidity, a sweet tannin scaffold and ripe, giving fruit.
