April 13, 2024 - ...a few troubling posts on this recently, so i opened one of mine to see what all the fuss is about! there must be some bottle variation b/c this bottle is lovely. bouquet a little restrained at first... some smoke, leather, mushroom, sanguine and floral aromas. palate is v nice, delicate in texture, polished tannins, sweet and savoury with cherry and soy. finishes long with a saline note. fully open for business.

April 10, 2024 - So after a questionable bottle last week I decided to try again. Took to my club for lunch. Upon opening the nose was beautiful with aromas of red and black fruit. The palate is a different story. At first I thought it was a flawed bottle as the flavors of the fruit were muted and along with leather dominated the taste buds. It did open up some with time in the glass. The finish was decent in length. Cannot see the 95 that Vinous gave it. Still have a bunch more to drink.

April 3, 2024 - Decanted after an intact cork extraction. The initial taste seemed strange but plausible. As it started to open, it fell on its face and never recovered. BEWARE!
