February 22, 2016 - 5 user reviews and 4 by the same person (who keeps thanking the distributor of this wine) doesn't make the 90 overall rating appear to be all that convincing. I'd like to see a VARIETY of reviews on this wine.

August 2, 2015 - shared with pat at selkirk manor. tasted before selling bottles to Peter F. to make sure it was OK. We had previously served the 2012 at Ellen's rehearsal dinner and the 2013 at the wedding. at the time i thought that the 2013 was a little fuller bodied and would perhaps enjoy greater longevity. tasting the 2012 tonite, i think it is a pretty close call. perhaps without the distractions of lights, noise and talking to guests, i was able to pay closer attention to the wine. in any event, i am very pleased with the wine which is well made and offers great value. my taste buds are not particularly sensitive to spice. otherwise, i agree with gary's description, "loaded with rich, berry fruit, spice and velvety tannins". thanks again gary, for adding to the success of the wonderful affair for our daughter.

I had fun pretending that the wine came from my vineyards in Napa before revealing the truth. Thanks to Gary Fisch for making this happen.

June 5, 2015 - Served 9 bottles at the rehearsal dinner for ellen and Louis's wedding. The rehearsal dinner was held at lunello restaurant in cedar grove, new jersey. The wine showed well. As gary descibed, the wine is made in a soft and smooth style, ready for enjoyment in the near term. Ample fruit. Medium body. Ten second finish. Held up well with Italian food. Guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed it. Brought a few unfinished bottles home. They were still drinking well two days later with no sign of oxidation. Amazing. Great value. Playing the name game was fun. Thanks again to gary, for making this happen.
