November 26, 2021 - Over 90+ minutes decant. Medium-deep garnet in colour. Nose of stewed plums and raspberries, dried cherries, wet tobacco and getting hints of chestnuts. On the palate, there are herby black cherries and raspberry fruits with some ripe plums and some dark cassis; tannins still evident and still has a bit of a bite to them. Medium bodied with a smoky tobacco medium-long finish.

June 6, 2021 - excellent fucking wine hitting all the right notes right now. I wouldn’t bother holding longer. this is a great spot for it. decanted about 1.5 hours which may have helped.

August 24, 2020 - I’m a unabashed big CDP fan and one of the best examples of this great classics wine - when produced - is Laurence. Been over a year when I last tried and it was tremendous and yes that’s a boases view.

January 25, 2020 - Making the Most of Dinner Without Dad (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red color. PNP, drank a glass over 45 minutes. I lost track of this a little bit at the end of the night. It was fairly similar to a bottle from last year. Full bodied, kirsch, blackberry liqueur, cherry, earth, pepper. This still has upside with time.

April 10, 2019 - Mixed WTDS at The Kenwood (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Loads of violets on the nose, great perfume of spices, flowers, and dark fruits. More full bodied than I expceted' Dark fruits, spice, pepper. Even with the lighter vintage, and as good as it is now, this cwill be better in another year or two I think. 92+(+)pts.

October 26, 2018 - Pnp at a local restaurant, with the remainder consumed over the course of about 60 mins from decanter. After a few minutes the bit of funk that was notable on the nose quickly blew off. Plenty of complex cherry, leather, and a touch of spice, along with a lovely bit of complexity on the medium-long finish. Not a big wine, but nice concentration. Very typical Pegau style based on my somewhat limited experience with this producer. However after about 30 mins the wine shut down, hard. I don't think this was coming back with a longer decant, so would recommend this as a hold.

October 5, 2018 - Stunning elegance. Beautiful composition of earthy, tobacco and sweet plum notes. Still young but its pedigree shows. Long succulent finish

April 14, 2018 - Cloudy reddish violet; tanned leather, mulled plum and cranberry, root vegetables, garrigue, Bandaids, subtle sweat; palate similar to nose, good refinement but feel the Brett detracts a bit, spicy red fruit and green peppercorns finish.
