January 19, 2024 - Was originally confused by this. Tasted next to Fourrier's '13 Sentiers, both en mag. As someone noted, this definitely lacks the minerally structure of Chambolle and definitely has a signature imparted on the juice. Perhaps the most overtly perfumed and floral (slightly unnatural) wine tasted of the night and wasn't particularly deep, but I found myself coming back as the perfume was quite alluring and elegantly sweet, despite being unconventional. I did get some surfactant on the tail end of the nose that eventually blew off. Palate was good enough. Ended up liking this over the Fourrier ever so slightly.

March 3, 2023 - The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Magnum. Dull red. Green and low grade brett. Nice earthy base. Long, medium weight, soil-driven wine.

June 30, 2016 - Thursday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Prieure-Roch, Mugneret-Gibourg and David Duband (Cote d'Or (Mostly)): Tasting at the domaine. Slightly reduced to start, so the red cherry comes across clearly, but not fully accessible to start. A few minutes of aeration in glass help, resulting in a moderate, softer finish. Chambolle minerality and textures oddly didn't show through at first, but also emerged with aeration. This will need time in the cellar.

March 5, 2016 - La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Red berry aromas and flavors with subtle spice, good textures, just not quite the minerally structure I associate with Chambolle. But still good.

September 2, 2015 - Wijnkoperij Okhuysen Tasting and Dinner with David Duband (Landgoed Duin & Kruidberg, Santpoort, NL): From three different parcels in Les Sentiers, one adjacent to Les Ruchots, 65 year old vines, 80% whole cluster. Much deeper colour than all wines that came before, quite a masculine style, with ripe, almost liquorous, blue fruit; tannic and powerful but with a wonderful softness, has real power and weight, almost Grand Cru concentration and structure, excellent length. David considers this his best Premier Cru (I concur) and prices it accordingly.
