April 13, 2022 - Much richer than I anticipated. Liked the dense minerality, florals, bready notes, baked apples, and nuttiness. Wish the body was more finessed and the finish was a bit longer, but quite pleasant for the price. In the Marie Courtin lineup, I'd still opt for the Concordance.

December 31, 2021 - Pretty golden color. This is smoothing out, getting better and more balanced. Best as the mousse subsides revealing pretty red fruit over a dry mineral finish. Very nice champagne. This will have a long life ahead. Pretty interesting how this has evolved in two years since I last had this vintage.

July 9, 2021 - This is in a wonderful place, still with exotic citrus fruits upfront, but also lovely salty pasture butter notes in the aroma. The palate shows gentle fruit sweetness and that previously fierce acidity is now integrated. Delicious and wonderful. I think my appreciation for these brut nature, somewhat extreme wines is evolving rather than attenuating; I seem to prefer them with some bottle age to soften the fierce acidity.

April 3, 2021 - Lots and lots of ripe apples on buttered brioche. A sprinkle of lemon - juice and zest - on top. Some salty and chalky minerality as well. Lots of power but very dry. Beautiful stuff!

December 23, 2020 - Disgorged in October 2014. Outrageously beautiful development - so aromatically complex! It's pretty surprising to pin-point pineapple notes in a Pinot Noir, but then blind-tasters have guessed Efflorescence was a Chardonnay. On the other hand, there's lots of red-berry aromas such as raspberries and forest strawberries, and the expected abundance of ripe apples. Hints of noble mushrooms, hazelnuts, fine nougat and seashell minerality. Discretely oxidative notes add to the feast. The palate offers a friendly mousse, lively acidity and good solid fruit with natural inner sweetness. The finish lingers on a refreshingly saline note, to tickle our tastebuds. Great overall balance and tons of pleasure! Should continue to develop well for several years.
