April 9, 2024 - Open with Chris from bedrock. This is probably the most mature of the 2013 single vineyards lots of fruit and starting to go towards overly ripe and one note. No reason to hold

March 24, 2024 - Medium dark muted violet color. Bouquet is fresh, herbaceous, earthy. Lovely flavors of blackberry compote, savory spices, damp leaves in a great way. Tannins super well integrated, present but subdued. Acidity is still there. Wonderful bottle. Super flavorful, greatly balanced. My last one so someone else will have to report back on how the bottle evolves in the future.

November 29, 2023 - Opaque violet with enticing red and black fruit, bramble, pepper, charred wood, dried herb and subtle floral aromas. On the pallet, it is medium, bodied, and very fresh with well integrated fine grain tannins. It shows black raspberry, a blend of ripe black cherry and cherry liqueur, and subtle blackberry flavors accented with peppery spice and earthy notes. Long finish

February 26, 2023 - So I'm not going to leave a score on this one because I'm still unsure as to whether it was a flawed bottle, but this was not good. Odd/sweet oak on the nose, and crazy thin on the palate with only a hint of fruit, more oak, and a strange finish. I originally thought the bottle was off but now looking at recent CT reviews that sound somewhat similar, I wonder if this wine is just shot??

December 1, 2022 - While I could see this going strong in the coming years, it’s drinking extremely well now. Some of the rough edges are off, resulting in a nice balance between youthful liveliness and aged elegance. Not old enough for tertiary character. Medium weight for a Zin. Hints of both brambles and elegance. My last bottle, and honestly, I’m happy to have experienced it in its current state.

February 14, 2022 - This was good but lacked some of that 'WOW' factor that I was looking for. Fairly subdued red fruits and some spice, but lacking the extra gear that I get in so many of Morgan's offerings. Maybe more time will help?? I'll hold my remaining bottles a bit and see what happens.

August 26, 2021 - PnP, paired with spaghetti and red sauce. Not very inspiring or good as our last bottle, pretty tame compared to other Bedrock zins. I don’t think this is getting better and has probably lost some of its exuberance, so I’d drink up.

July 2, 2021 - Beautiful and fragrant nose. Full fruit, medium bodied, and wee bit heat on the finish.

May 31, 2021 - I love Bedrock wines but this did not match up. Medium body with dark fruit almost too light for limerick lane vines. The 2014 was more jammy. I liked it but not what I expected from Morgan.

August 3, 2020 - Fairly dark, polished Zinfandel with lively bramble aromas. There is a lot of sweet red and black berry fruit and spice in the mouth. Not a huge wine but has a strong profile and intensity. Combines the ultra refined, high acidity, liqueur-like essence of RRV Zinfandel (like Papera) and the more muscular structural presence of Dry Creek valley Zin. Drink now unless you have temperature controlled storage, in which case it could age several more years.
