November 3, 2023 - Aroma: initial explosion of vanilla, then citrus, floral notes, stone fruits, guava, lychee, mint and herbal notes.
Palate: lemon curd, creamy, bright acidity, with a long finish. Feels some warmth from the alcohol. Paired with a strata and salad. It was not a good pairing. Best to drink on day 1. 91

July 7, 2022 - Mixed feelings about this wine. I really like Bordeaux Blanc, but usually not so much Cali SB. This was a much fruitier version of a Bordeaux Blanc, really hard to compare to that blend or any other. Very well made. Delicate florals and fruits on the intense nose, interesting tropical fruit palate. Better alone than with food as another reviewer has noted.

April 2, 2022 - Aroma: citrus fruits, honeydew melon, pineapple, starfruit and lots of tropical fruit flavor profile.
Palate: honeycomb, melon, citrus fruits, tart apples, full-bodied, bright acidity, with a long finish. This is a great drink-alone wine, not so much with food though. 92

February 14, 2022 - Popped and poured. Lovely fulsome but still elegant nose with flowers, gooseberries and a little cut grass. The palate is medium to full bodied, with excellent acidity and depth. This is at a stage of early maturity where it is in an excellent drinking window but should stay here for another few years.

August 7, 2021 - Slo-oxed for 20 minutes, chilled. The color was a clear medium-to-deep yellow. The medium to plus bodied palate showed good doses of lemon and spice, along with an ever increasing oak presence as the wine warmed. Good, juicy acidity.
One of the least satisfying bottles of this wine that we've had. Not sure why, other than the ultimately overwhelming oakiness as the wine aired and warmed.

March 5, 2021 - Popped and poured. Lychee, tropical fruit, lemon and honey. The wine is medium to full bodied, quite youthful, showing sappy fruit but at the same time great balance and a long finish. I would drink these soon although there is no sign of decline

December 30, 2020 - Another vintage another spectacular wine. Full range of citrus fruit, toasted marshmallow and honey. Lovely mouthfeel and a very long finish.

August 2, 2020 - My wife's 70th birthday with friends outdoors during the pandemic at our favorite seafood restaurant. Blackened Hawaiian Wahoo and our friend had Dover Sole. What a great way to start off a birthday dinner celebration. We spent time with Luc Morlet in 2015 and his winemaking is second to none.

January 11, 2020 - I only had 2 bottles of the 2013 left in the cellar so I hesitated in picking this one to open. I just got some stone crab from Joe's crab shack with their mustard dip and I knew that the Doree would be the perfect bottle to pair with. Whoa was I right. Even my 93 year Mom said that's the best wine we have had this year. I didn't tell her we are only 11 days into the new year. The color was a perfect light yellow with tastes of lemon and honeysuckle. It was served at 55 degrees and warmed slightly in the glass. This brought out all the wonderful flavors. I only wish I had more to enjoy.

September 9, 2019 - Absolutely, positively love this wine year after year. Beautiful on a hot summer night with a unadorned seafood. Give it the time, but it will pay you back.
