May 5, 2023 - Celebrated a good friend's BDay and we started with a mag that to the best of my knowledge was disgorged around 2007. A whiff of Maderization on the aromatics as the cork was removed and on the first pour but both the color and flavors promised good things to come. Within 10-15 min the citruce fruit emerged in full and the wine got brighter and lively. Lots of yellow fruit, good mid palate and base notes from the 40% PN. Creamy with nice delicate bead and a generous mousse, this got bettter & better as we went along and suddenly poof it was all gone. Funny how that happens when a mag starts to sing.
January 6, 2023 - Lemon; Very bright; A bit too acidic
September 17, 2022 - Simple aroma, mostly citrus, lemony, with a hint of apple. On the palate, clean and refreshing but also simply straightforward taste. Price under 30 is correct.
September 8, 2022 - The nose is so restrained, and hints at elegance and subtlety, with sweet flowers, and some yeasty notes coming through. The palate is not. It is singular in focus with it’s seething,racing acidity. The finish is long, however I am uncertain if this is pleasant. It does allow you to pull some Lemon notes, maybe some salinity, some green plant matter( think celery, wild onion ),
Mid 80s, nothing wrong but not quite right either.
February 12, 2022 - Nice mousse, fruit forward, green apple and citrus (too much for my tastes) good density, a touch of minerality. After my long bike ride up to Bernate and though Camminando sull'Acqua, then paired with plain strawberries and then with anchovies. Fresh

December 6, 2019 - Dinner at Auburn LA (Auburn Restaurant, Los Angeles): Very yummy. Not oxidative in style at all, which is what I was expecting based on comparison to the seduction, which I've had a few times. Lovely, fruit forward, good density, nice mousse: citrus, sweet apple, a touch of richness...
July 1, 2019 - Subtle, complex, and festive, this was better than the bottle of Dom Ruinart we had along with it.
August 3, 2018 - Open and almost rotund, the precision is still evident and the fine beam of bubbly grabs you. Marshmallow, almond cookie, white raisin and anise. Civilized, yet you want to gulp. There is a pleasing rush. Drink now.
