April 8, 2024 - A little more tightly wound than the 2014 i had which was explosive stuff
This is solid, leans very much northern Rhône with black olive and gamey notes, it was gaining until the last glass several hours in
Nice minerality, probably my favorite “new world” Syrah vineyard

February 2, 2024 - Served after 2 hours of decant. A decadent explosion of spices, florals and savory. White pepper, cured meats, fresh espelette, dried flowers, rosemary, thyme...there was an overload of spices and herbs elevating the core of fresh red fruits and acidity.

It is hard to describe the moment impact of spices exploding out of the glass into your nose - certainly a great experience.

December 13, 2023 - Not what I expected from a Syrah from Sonoma. Leaner style, acidic, like a pinot? Not quite. Very floral, this wine gives copious rose and cinnamon aromas. Fruits are bright red! Pomegranate and cranberry. Again, not what I expected...

    November 10, 2023 - Faded a bit. Drink now. 13%

December 7, 2022 - Smells of bruised black plum, blueberry, violet, axel grease and wet sand with hints of anise seed and wood smoke off in the distance. In the mouth tart bright forest berries, blood orange pulp, peppered beef, cold diner coffee and wet leaves with a little rubber ball, canned black olive and rosemary. Medium body, great acid, ripe chalky tannin and a pleasantly tart, bitter finish.

Really great wine that is not going anywhere but I would drink up to enjoy the electricity it offers now.
