August 20, 2022 - PnP. No detailed notes. Opened up in ~15 minutes. Not complex, but very tasty, pleasant. I liked it quite a bit.
October 28, 2020 - Dinner at home. 10/28/20. Tree removal celebration.
July 16, 2019 - Great nose on opening
February 4, 2019 - Perhaps a little later in the drinking window. I found cherry, cola and a very pronounced barnyard on the nose. Cherry and hint of oak in the mouth where it was soft and a little hot.
An unconventional pinot at a good price.
January 24, 2017 - Another bottle, this time paired with duck breast with blood orange sauce (G&G). Exactly the meal this wine was made for!
January 14, 2017 - Some bitter orange, maybe red licorice, with touches of sweetness and minerality (slate). Soft, subtle fruit on the nose, but not sure it's cherry or raspberries that others note. Not savory, bigger than we expect from Pinot Noir, still light compared to most any Bordeaux. A little hot, evidences 14% ABV. Paired well with a chicken Marsala, would complement (not contrast) duck à l'orange. Not sure it would work with lamb, particularly with a savory preparation of the lamb.
January 2, 2017 - My experience with South American wines thus far has been flavors that are very soft, subtle and sometimes muted. This was quite the opposite, big and bright fruits all over and a good full mouthfeel. In fact, I might say, this was a little too big for what I want in a Pinot Noir, but certainly nothing to throw down the drain.
December 25, 2016 - Drank at xmas, everyone liked
October 16, 2016 - Not bad - medium concentration, med(-) body. Hints of earth, slate, herbs, and oak. Fruit takes a back seat. Interesting flavor profile - and OK for the price.
August 12, 2016 - Nice raspberry nose, hard, medium finish.
Good with lamb.
