Community Tasting Notes 8

September 8, 2016 - This has a lot of heat and alcohol. It seems tight and that this could be good with longer decant or more bottle time. Not sure what to make of this right now.

October 17, 2012 - Wow - I'd say we timed drinking this perfectly but it was so balanced and without a hint of acidity that it might also improve for several more years. Full dark fruit with light notes easily observed. Not overbearing but stood up superbly to rack of lamb. I wish I had more.

July 11, 2012 - Delicious Sonoma cab; entering its prime now. Stark cherry and currant flavors give this wine power, but this really shines on night 3 when it opens up fully. Tastes high-end, but considering I picked this up for less than $25, I'm ecstatic about this buy. 92+

August 22, 2011 - A beautiful aged wine with deep notes of dark cherry, Carmel, spice and a hint of currant. Smooth on the tongue with soft tannins on the back side. This a wine that pairs well with filet

September 5, 2010 - Soft, full of fruit. Opened up as it was exposed to air, but never fully found the body and structure that I'd hoped to see.
