Community Tasting Notes 5

January 14, 2023 - I have nothing to add to the 2015 note below.
It is at its peak mix of flavors and acidity, I believe.
    6 bottles left. Yay

November 1, 2015 - You'd easily spend double to three times the money if this was produced a few kilometers north in the cote de beaune. This rully 1er is a text book chardonnay and delivers all that mineral, citrus, honey, butterscotch, apples and blossom flavours you could wish for. Balanced and long with the best yet to come in 3-4 years down the road.

September 29, 2015 - This is one of the reasons I'm convinced it's almost never necessary to spend more than about $30 on a chardonnay, as this has pretty much everything I want out of the grape. Crystalline on day one, cut like a jewel with a chalky, dusty minerality that impacts the texture as much as the taste, all briny oysters on the finish, holds up well in the fridge for days putting on weight and getting deeper, more brassy tones while still featuring that chalky freshness.

June 22, 2014 - Simple but very refreshing. Delicious and good QPR

March 23, 2014 - Really lovely, fresh, white burgundy. Nothing fancy or grand, just delicious summery wine.
