January 21, 2022 - This wine has not changed since 2017. Fruit forward and very sweet.
We poured the bottle out. Could not drink it. -

December 2, 2017 - Notes after two hours open. Dark, inky purple color with very slow, clear legs and small amount of sediment. Medium intensity nose of of blackberry liqueur, ripe berry jam, and hobby paint. Palate is overly sweet with little traction or interest. Seems quite concocted. No thanks, though I would have loved this kind of cocktail 30 years ago in college. 4+9+11+6=80
Update on day 2: no change or improvement. Hard to imagine why a winemaker would use grapes this ripe and/or chaptalize to this degree.1 person found this helpful Comment -
