November 19, 2023 - No decant this time, but flavors are consistent with my prior note. Just an outstanding wine that has a much longer life than the CT drinking window suggests. Drink now - 2028 at least...quite possibly a 20-year wine.

February 24, 2023 - Decanted one hour before service. In the glass, deep, saturated purplish maroon. On the nose, currants, raspberries, and stone fruit. On the palate, currants, peach, and blackberries, with secondary notes of dried herbs, and a structured palate that leads to assertive tannins on the finish. More closed and unyielding than the '13. With that said, still a nice syrah/viognier blend.

August 10, 2022 - Olive, brisket, blood, dark berries, baking spice.
90% Syrah 10% Viognier Bien Nacido

November 6, 2021 - Decanted 2 hours. Delicious wine with loads of dark brooding fruit, savory tar and umami flavors, and a rush of pepper and spice. The finish lingers forever with flavors of rich dark chocolate and espresso. It's like dinner, dessert and after-dinner espresso, all in one. Need to explore this producer much more! Drink now - 2027.
