October 1, 2020 - Still a fruit bomb. After a short decant all I got was in your face blackberry liquor. So contrary to my style preference that I poured almost the entire contents from the decanter back into the bottle and checked in on it over the next several days. It finally calmed down after about four days under vacuum seal, at which point some secondary bramble notes appeared. Won't be a rebuy for me, but others that love that fruit-forward, extracted style will dig this.
January 2, 2020 - Went well with mustard and herb crusted tenderloin
February 15, 2018 - All fruit, much richer than I recall from the tasting room a year or two ago. Should hold the next bottle.
November 25, 2017 - Cedar, cassis, black cherry, vanilla. Went excellently with beef brisket.
October 21, 2016 - Very smooth, rich, sweet
February 1, 2016 - Rutherford's best qpr. Solid cabernet.
