January 30, 2023 - Remarkable complexity and interest at the price
This whiskey is good enough to invite comparison to more-expensive bottles. All the caramel, vanilla, and soft spices you might find in bottles costing double this. The notes are common to many good whiskies, so the points here are not for innovation, but because everything is harmonious and working so well together. At this price, this will likely be a near-permanent resident on my bar.

October 8, 2019 - Pale yellow, somewhat 'thin'.
A very rum-like nose. Fruity characteristics of pineapple and banana, lots of oak.
Taste follows the nose. I would have guessed this was aged in old rum barrels. Medium finish. A little metallic on the back end. Not a bad Whiskey by any means. Can be sipped (better if needing some bodily warmth), or mixed.

    Smoking a Romeo San Andreas

January 14, 2019 - Surprised at how much David liked this. Caramel, vanilla, spice, not too much volatility, my favorite Irish whisky so far.

    March 3, 2017 - smells very spirity - only a little way from a vodka - there's a little sherry here too.
Smooth and sweet with sherry and coconut on the finish
Quite nice - i'd like a bit more age . I suppose it's for mixing though
