November 30, 2023 - This bottle has rounded into shape very nicely at 16 years of age. Einaudi is one of my favorite barollos and Cannubi is such a good clos. Classic!

November 19, 2022 - Excuisite. Ready now. Still firm tannins, truffle, strawberry on the nose. Fresh and minty. Loving it.

May 27, 2018 - Well, hoping this was another learning experience. The wine showed significant age in the glass with about 1/4 inch rust at the rim but nice crimson color. Nose of iodine, blood, mushroom, tobacco, chocolate and the palate the same. At first I thought it was flawed but my wife didn’t. We didn’t decant but at 2 hours open in the bottle those nuances I considered a flaw went away and it was fantastic with dinner. Still good fruit, structure, integrated tannins and medium acidity. I’m going to try another just to see if my lack of experience caused my initial concerns. I will score 91 but that may be unfair.

February 7, 2016 - Super Bowl 2016 (Dunwoody, GA): Very firm, still quite youthful, juicy red fruit, roses, cedar, tannin; solid, wait.

December 16, 2014 - Clear crimson core and fresh scents of dried cranberry, basil and graphite. Medium to full bodied with a fairly light structure, loads of dark fruit and a long spicy finish. Should continue to drink well for another decade.

May 10, 2011 - Epson Imports Pre-Arrival 2007 Barolo and 2006/7 Brunellos (Liner & Elsen, Portland OR): Nice crushed black fruit, tar, graphite, and stone are the initial impressions of the aromas. This smells very proper, and what I seek when I reach for a glass of Barolo. Pleasing and fairly soft and integrated on the palate for such a young wine. Very well balanced despite its slight softness. I really enjoy the red fruit coupled with pleasing ripe tannins and acid. Finish is very closed, though. Not giving up much interest at all. The aromas and palate still suggest a pleasing future ahead. Hold, then drink over the mid-term for this slightly ripe Barolo. 91+

April 26, 2011 - Very little on the swirl. Just not a ton there. Massive wine. Totally closed up. Needs some time would be my guess. Need to withhold judgement. There is certainly allot here.
