July 7, 2023 - Popped and poured. Medium crimson color. Nose of black raspberry, blackberry, black cherry and a bit of cocoa. Some vanilla from the oak coming through as well. Similar flavors on the palate with still mostly primary fruit flavor for a 10+ year old wine, perhaps joined by a little cedar cigar box. Medium acid and mostly resolved sweet tannin. Smooth mouthfeel. Very enjoyable bottle of cabernet but not sure it has the structure for the long haul.
