July 30, 2023 - Agree with other comments...the wine can still gain some if stored in the cellar for a few more years. But overall no disappointment, robust Rioja that blended well with grilled game meat.
May 7, 2023 - "Dill" on the nose? Will ponder. Otherwise stewed dark fruit, fruit leather, medium to short finish. Smooth if not flat. Uneventful.
September 23, 2022 - Good robust start of black fruit. Mellows a bit and some oak flavors meld in. Medium smooth finish. Nothing too complex but an excellent table wine at6 this age.
March 23, 2022 - Drank over 2 nights - still needs time to add complexity.
Dark red color with clear meniscus. On nose, strawberry, red currants, dill/American Oak and leather. Medium body /tannins / acidity with long finish. On palate, dark cherry, plum and black currants - needs time. 90+/- today with room for improvement. Will try again in 2025+
February 10, 2022 - Too young. Yes this can be drunk now, but too fruity for my liking. Needs a good five more years.
November 26, 2021 - Nice nose with lots of oak and vanilla, but the taste does not follow. Should benefit from more time laying down as I've tasted this wine in much older vintages and it was delicious.
March 28, 2021 - Didn't take notes - drank over 2 nights. Still young and fruit primary (currants, dark cherry) with touch of dill and tobacco. 91+/-
November 14, 2020 - A garnet wine with a somewhat reticent nose of berries and earth. Soft in the mouth with tastes of black cherry and vanilla. Decent finish.
August 12, 2020 - Medium full body, round, long, earth.
July 23, 2020 - Dark ruby color. On the nose, strong black fruit notes but secondary characteristics are already coming through. Vanilla, baking spices, earth. On the palate, ripe blackberry, ripe raspberry. Crushed stone, baking spices. Very balanced and a medium length finish with a touch of alcohol. Showing its age, but good.
