August 29, 2020 - Very good barbaresco. Lots of fruit flavors, but unlike the previous bottles 18 months ago, this had quite a bit of alcohol on the open. Decanted for 2 hr, and it improved. I am wondering if it had peaked.

August 23, 2020 - Elegant and aromatic nose with ripe cherries, tobacco, leather and some rose petals. A slight whiff of red currant and a hint of high alcohol, but nothing disturbing (alc. 14,5 %). Slightly balsamic touch as well. Young, but inviting appearance on the nose.

Really enjoyable palate that shows classic Barbaresco charachteristics. Drinking very well at this early stage and more open that some previous vintages I have tried (e.g. 2007). Lovely fruit with Good concentration and medium tannin that give some support, but without being overpowering. As always, nicely balanced acidity and good length. Not that expressive yet, pretty sure another 3-5 years will do this good and then drink the next 10.

92 points for now, but this will certainly add another 1-2 points if it develops in the right direction.

August 16, 2020 - Really enjoyable, soft ripe resolved tannins, great juicy fruit with lovely Barolo like charm, quite fresh and well balanced, not oppulent but reasonably plush. Preferably not too warm, ideally 16-18 degrees C to concentrate the dark fruit and bury some of the alcohol.

June 27, 2020 - Ripe cherries, raspberries, blackberries and lots of herbs like rosemary, thyme and marjoram on the palate. Medium+ bodied, moderate alcohol intensity. Silky tannins - not too strong, just perfect. Nice fresh acidity in the middle, makes the whole wine way lighter and more approachable. Good depth. Long juicy and herbal finish.
Still very young but already highly enjoyable. With 5-8 more years this will become even more interesting. Will easily age another 12-15 years.
About 20,000 bottles of this vintage were produced. Drank from magnum.

August 15, 2019 - Initially quite soft and easy-going with evolved red cherry, a clear spice note and some leather. Grows over time and decidedly more tannic and structured on day two. Should be able to grow old bones after all.
