December 16, 2017 - Agreed with previous notes - "come hither" fruit forward, black cherries, icing sugar nose, and some interesting back notes in the mouth. Will definitely try again.

September 19, 2016 - My response to this second bottle, drunk 2 months after the first, is almost 180° different from my initial response. Where I found the first to be bitter, this was fresh, bright, alive, refreshing, and absolutely delightful. Bright red fruits, particularly cherry, predominate, matched by the color - brilliant red (almost orange-red) jewel-like in intensity. There was a hint of cola. At a lower register, one is aware of scents of the maquis (the Corsican garigue), and a tartness that balances the fruit.

I would not hold this wine, as others have suggested; it is meant to be enjoyed young.

    Rated 2 on a scale of -1 to 3.

March 26, 2016 - Wonderful for me but some at the table had trouble with it's exotic flavors.

February 23, 2016 - A Kermit Lynch import, Faustine is a biodynamically-farmed Corsian blend of 70% Sciaccarellu and 30% Niellucciu. Shimmering translucent garnet, it's lighter in hue and body than Pinot Noir with refined, perfumy aromas of decaying rose petal, white hand soap, forest floor, dried mint, and a hint of spice. In the mouth, it's taught, red-fruited and lean. The tannins are moderate and very fine, intertwining coursing acidity, flavors of cranberry and rose hips, and a decidedly herbal flourish on the finish. 14.0% ABV

January 24, 2016 - This is such a terrific and fun wine. Light red fruits with a sort of confectionary sugar aspect to them. So immediate and easy - not a lot of structure and perhaps not for real old-school purists but I love drinking this and it works very well with light meat dishes.
