August 6, 2019 - Strawberry, vulcanic surface is showing, spices, juicy and a firm acidity.

July 9, 2019 - Strawberry, fruity, light style, some ash. Not my cup of tea

May 5, 2019 - Dark cherries, leather, spices, floral and mineral notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied (13.5% ABV) with bright red cherry along with light strawberry upfront. Gains depth through the middle as it evolves to a more dark cherry/dark berry, coupled with balanced tannins and acidity. The transition from the mid-body, through the backside and into the finish shows a good amount of nuance and complexity, balancing fruit and structural qualities deftly. Tannins are slightly drying at this stage, but come off quite well with the fruit, mineral, spices and earth notes on the finish. As well as it showed tonight, given where the fruit and structure are now, it should be able to continue to come together over the next 12-18 months. I will try my next bottle in Q2 2020.

August 12, 2017 - This is a different vintage - called R - and I am therefore lowering the rating - the wine is fruity I actually god a lot of strawberries together with red cherries - not the same level of spices that you get in the G level. Still a great wine with medium acidity - but I am clearly more for the G version than the R version.
