December 15, 2023 - Drinking beautifully with no signs of oxidation. Nice golden color. Very enticing bouquet of butter and melon. Concentrated flavors of melon, butter, peach, citrus, minerals with a nice long citric acidic mineral finish. Still tasting fairly youthful but is fully ready to drink. Still has some staying power. Very nice.

June 2, 2023 - For fans of buttery and Oaky Chardonnay this is a hit. It has aged really well and is still somewhat youthful but with a little bit of mature notes. No oxidation. Good fruit. Nice balance. Still with some good acidity. Certainly smells and tastes like it could age another 5 years but I don't think it'll get any better. Bouquet of butter and melon. Good concentration with nice flavors of butter, Oak, melon, pear with a nice long acidic finish with a hint of citrus. Really well balanced. It has aged very nicely.

May 19, 2022 - I decided to take a chance on this and hold on to it see how it aged. Rolling the dice. This was a big winner. It aged beautifully and is still very youthful

September 9, 2019 - Consistent with previous notes. Likely has another year or two in the tank. Really showing well now.

February 8, 2019 - I think this was the second time I had tasted this vintage, and I enjoyed it much more this time. Perhaps some more age helped it, or it might just be that my palate is expanding. I also may have drank it too cold last time.

The nose on this wine is a bit closed, but opens up to some nice creamy, slightly oaky vanilla notes with some floral undertones. There is a mild sweetness to the nose, perhaps some hint of fig and pear.

The taste is interesting. The flavor starts out a bit boring, the front of the tongue catches some sweet notes of fresh pear, fig, and honey. Then after giving this wine some aeration in the mouth, some acidity is detected and there are some nice creamy citrus notes that are quite fun. My descriptors when tasting this wine were key lime pie and fresh lemon curd. There is even a bit of a butterscotch thing going on, without the candy-sweetness. There is also a definite bitterness on the sides of the mouth, probably due to tannins. They are soft though and the finish on this wine is not too dry.

The mouthfeel on this wine is nice. It has medium body yet it is light and drinkable. Paired well with roast chicken.
