April 5, 2024 - Good example of why to age wine

July 16, 2022 - Off nose upon opening which dissipated within 10 minutes or so. Some funky nose remained as long as bottle lasted. Medium big body, nice finish which wasn’t long enough. Nice with our steaks. Probably should drink the rest of my stock within the next couple years.

June 11, 2021 - Very nice wine, it has cellared very well and aged into a beautiful wine. Doubled decanted and tasted one hour later, very nice. One day later and it was even better, wish I had more. Oh, and the tannins are still very present, this can cellar more many more years.

February 9, 2021 - 45 min decant. Clear, deep ruby with medium garnet meniscus. High Viscosity.
Oak on the nose - with vanilla, tobacco and leather. Cherry and blueberry fruit on the nose and palate - but minimal on the palate - more savory. Bit o' chalk and pepper. Tannins still strong. Med+ length with a bit of tar on the finish.

February 7, 2021 - Very impressive stature at first, nearly pitch black, and a big nose of cherry, currant, dark chocolate, and with time, soy, and black olive. Tasted like it was just bottled yesterday; big and bold, tannic and structured, featuring a blend of red and dark fruit, cocoa powder, and a touch of roasted game on the finish. It eventually smoothed out at the 2-3 hour mark, but our assessment was that this could benefit from a few more years in bottle. It's good plenty of everything, but much of it remains a little hidden. 94+
