September 5, 2020 - Dark ruby in color with a nice brick rim.

On the nose light blueberries, black currants, cooked cherries, dried fruits, raisins, cedar, light vanilla, earth, vegetables, dark coffee, dark chocolates, leather, tobacco leaf, smoke, cola, pencil lead, black pepper, wet leaves and black tea. Wonderful and complex.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, raspberries, ripened blueberries, raisins, dried figs, tobacco, earth, spices, wood, vanilla, cloves, coffee, vinaigrette, light vegetables, green olives and herbs.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and cranberries.

This is a wonderful 17 year old Red Blend from Yakima Valley. Showing so much complexity, with nice balance and mouthfeel. Elegant, delicious, mature, and tangy on the finish.

    Thank you Paul for sharing.

Needs time to open up properly and show the complexity, and great all by itself.

I had the 2015 vintage a year ago and it was a delicious treat as well, although not as complex.

This is a wine that needs to be had with good friends and talked about. No need to mess it up with food.

A blend of Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

    14.1% alcohol by volume.

    95 points.

    $60 (current vintage).

January 29, 2011 - decanted, and enjoyed with a rack of lamb. Well balanced oak with noticeable, but soft tannins. Fruit is still good, but probably a good time to drink. Hints of cranberry, pepper, tobacco and currant.

January 13, 2009 - Beautiful wine. Drank with pork roast for dinner - a real crowd pleaser. Significant tannins give way to solid structure and good balance with extracted fruit. New World style Bordeaux blend that would hold up very well against its French siblings, especially at the price point. Recommend to hold this for another 1-2 years.

July 27, 2008 - The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Rich & Dana's): Garnet color with aromas of dark fruit, blackberry and sage. Flavors of dark fruit, caramel and blueberry. Very tasty.
