December 23, 2021 - This is a fantastic wine! Deep and dark; far more complex than you would imagine for the price.
May 21, 2020 - Doing just fine, drinking well.
December 8, 2019 - Amazing wine with an unbelievable price
March 18, 2018 - Pnp. Gorgeous dark color ("brilliant" as another described). Aromatic black fruits on the nose. Spice, good acidity and chewy tannins. Excellent QPR.
August 20, 2017 - A terrific value, true to my favorite petite sirah characteristics. Almost opaque, with the typical brilliant dark purple color; classic petite sirah nose, with damson plums, spice and cocoa; delicious spicy blue and purple fruit with a touch of bittersweet chocolate, holding well through the midpalate; chewy tannins for balance, with a long, dark finish. Not bad as a pop and pour, but as I'm finding with so many of the serious younger petite sirahs (and it is serious), it hit its peak at day 3 after opening - it needs oxygen.
July 16, 2017 - Pretty good for the price. Deep color, dense, packed with fruit. A bit tannic without overwhelming.
July 3, 2017 - Agree with the 86 87 notes - and the comment re a little sweet.
June 26, 2017 - Nice deep red fruit at a good QPR around $11. Nothing special but good what it party wine and went well with a zucchini vegetable lasagna.
June 21, 2017 - Good fruit and good balance. A touch on the sweet side.
May 28, 2017 - Bogle's Petite Syrah has been one of my go-to sub-$10 wines for nearly two decades (and I don't turn 40 for a couple years). Lot's of fruit and great dark purple color, especially for the price. Not very sweet, like many similar reds at this price point, and it is not too hot.
