Community Tasting Notes 2

May 12, 2016 - Gran bel vino, colore rosso porpora. Al naso tanta frutta rossa, leggero cuoio, tabacco. Tannini leggeri e ben integrati nella struttura del vino.

December 8, 2015 - Deep purple-ruby color. Very secondary- with ample sous-bois, earth-soil, and mushroom on the nose, along with bacon fat, anise and black raspberry. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with primary black cherry notes emerging through some initial reduction. Medium acid, light grainy tannins, light on the mid-palate and finish.

Decanted remaining 375ml into a half-bottle and revisited 2 days later- showed the same complexity on the nose- with much additional purity and intensity of flavor- with just a bit more to the texture and finish. Very nice in the end.
