September 19, 2021 - Another excellent Langhe Nebbiolo from Maria Teresa. Now drinking perfectly with a bouquet of roses, some oriental spice (turmeric), cherries and some orange zest.
The wine is medium bodied with quite a good length. It should easily hold for another 5-10 years, but why not enjoy it right now.

May 14, 2021 - Another excellent bottle of this and much fresher than my last bottle (that got me a little worried). Unfortunately, my last bottle of my case of 6. Pure, red-fruited and lifted, with the Bartolo Mascarello tell-tale elegance and silkiness. Super fresh, lifted and lively. Not the depth, aromatic complexity or structure of their breath-taking Barolo, but it doesn‘t need it. It‘s excellent in its own class and purpose. A mid-weight, pure and sensationally delicious Nebbiolo Langhe. Wow.

January 29, 2021 - This has aged nicely, especially considering that this is the Nebbiolo from this great but medium structured vintage. Nevertheless, it‘s starting to show a little advanced. Takes a few minutes to settle in, but very pretty notes of pure red fruit, crushed violets, rose petals, also some menthol. It‘s medium bodied, with medium-high acidity and medium- tannin. Medium-long finish. This was really nice, but seems to be deeper in its drinking window from my perspective. My last bottle seemed a little more vibrant. I would start drinking up over the next 3+ years.

December 12, 2020 - This LN appears to develop in a sturdier direction with time in the bottle. Initially numb and overly tannic, the pieces soon fall into place. A quarter of an hour is all that's needed to find the balance, harmony, and drinkability!

September 13, 2020 - Decanted, completely shut down at first. It needed hours before opening up. Then very delicate and fresh. Chewy tannins, very good, not drying. Still a very long life ahead.
