February 20, 2022 - This bottle was well past its prime, but had just enough fruit to make it an ok experience.

September 19, 2021 - Terrible cork totally saturated but this was purchased on release at Astor. Color is still predominantly red though with noticeably browning. Nose is lovely, quite fresh, forest floor, mushroom, red fruit, leather, and a touch of tobacco like spice. Elegant and fine. Lovely on the palate, round, supple, slightly warmed bowl of berries fruit, decent length, pure and vibrant. Very approachable, with a real sense of delicacy and fine mineral base notes on the finish. So drinkable, not super complex but seductive and should improve with some air. 90-91

With about 3 hours of air this has certainly gained a more spice cast to the nose, also obvious n the palate. It’s right at peak with a lovely blend of fruit and tertiary element that are balanced and moderately complex. The fruit has taken on a slightly hard candy tone in the mouth, and the slightly dry tannins have become somewhat more prominent. Finishes well, showing real juiciness and good length enlivened by tangy, citrussy acidity. There is a slight chunkiness to this that has to be accepted, along with an emerging hint of cola but all in all quite satisfactory. 90

August 19, 2020 - PNP. Dark cherry and earth. Well balanced. Wish I had more.

January 30, 2017 - Balanced well, but left me a little flat on the palate, not the best Burgundy I've ever had, but would buy more if the price was right.

December 5, 2016 - Two 2002 red Burgs: A lighter ruby colour, showing some evolution. A more lifted nose, showing Vosne spice and red and black cherries and dry underbrush. That lift is also on the palate, with raspberries, red cherries, dry earth and brushwood. Most preferred this wine to the Comte Armand but thought it was the older, more secondary, of the two wines. Some tasters did say, identifying it as a Burgundy, that it was "too New World", but I didn't agree with the observation. Nice detail. Tannins largely now resolved, low acidity. About there now for drinking but no need to hurry.
