May 1, 2024 - Birthday party bottle. Could have used more time, as could I. Classic and concentrated.
February 10, 2024 - No formal notes. Intense black fruits, leather, milk chocolate and spices. 15% alcohol fully integrated and pliant tannins.
December 24, 2023 - Excellent shape and drinking well. Decanted an hour then consumed over next two. Delightful fruit profile, some modest secondary characteristics, and notable minerality. Plenty of life ahead.
November 4, 2023 - 25th Annual Lyon 10 Year Retrospective (Lyon Down Inn): Blackberry, black cherry, and raspberry backed by some espresso, licorice and oak. Still very supple and loamy on day 2, 92pts.

April 6, 2023 - Thought this would be better. But it’s a good wine. Lacks silkiness and class of the 2013 gran vin. 10+ years ahead.
January 22, 2023 - PnP & enjoyed over four hours. Dark fruit, cassis, cocoa & spice. Very nice - this wine had lots of life left IMO. DRINK or HOLD
November 13, 2022 - Cassis in the bouquet. On the palate full bodied with dark berries, cherries, chocolate, some green bell pepper impressions, but also lush. Good acidity and slightly sticky tannin. Beautiful wine with still a potential of at least 5+ years. 92+ for today.
October 29, 2022 - Drinking beautifully tonight. Tannins well integrated, drink now and for next 10 years.
October 19, 2022 - Dark. Fragrant. Classic Napa. Black fruits, cassis, chocolate, vanilla. Rich, smooth, medium/full body with great balance. Fine tannins and a long finish. A delight with filet mignon after two hour decant.
