December 24, 2023 - Still drinking well. Definitely on the "big" side for a merlot, but if that's your style, you'll like this. The age has softened things a bit, and the finish is a touch short. Otherwise, very nice wine.

January 13, 2019 - Really good cab-lovers merlot. Perfect pairing with a brie burger.

November 6, 2016 - 4.5 of 5. Not your typical merlot. Smooth, fruit forward, almost like a cab. Not tannic in the least. Excellent on its own, food seems unnecessary.
Aroma, bouquet: lots of fruit, jammy, plums, raisins.
Color, hue, clarity: clear, super dark garnet.
Taste, texture, finish, balance: medium body, smooth finish, not tannic, lots of fruit, spice, hints of coffee and chocolate. -

March 10, 2016 - I don't seek out Merlot but this came with my new Mountain Wine Club and it was amazing. Delicious, juicy dark fruit, light spice, soft, leathery tannins and velvety texture. Totally changes my feeling about merlot.
