November 21, 2020 - Great. Found it’s place and very classic bacon fat and cote rotie nose. Easygoing and ready to drink

December 19, 2019 - Really pretty the first hour or so but faded with time

August 20, 2019 - Dinner at Nico Osteria (Nico Osteria, Chicago IL): The nose is a bit tight as this was a pop and pour. It took some air and swirling to begin to open up with black cherries, black raspberries, olives, tobacco leaf, black and white pepper, crushed rocks, and violets. The Medium/full bodied feel is youthful, but balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. The structure is very youthful and though it isn't overpowering, it makes its presence known. I would love to try this in another 5+ years so it can sort itself out and really blossom.

June 22, 2019 - Pepper and violet on the nose. Initial burst of black fruit on the palate that quickly faded. Light to medium bodied, short finish. Decent with roast chicken.

April 11, 2018 - Second time I've tried this and overall this bottle was much better; lovely dark brambly fruits, fresh ground black pepper, violet, and just a hint of smoky meat. The palate has nice balance and good freshness; certainly not a dense or deep Cote Rotie, but elegant and balanced and overall very enjoyable with lamb chops.
