April 7, 2024 - It's been about 8 years since I last tried this label and it seems to be stuck in time: Dark tart cherry and dark berries, acidic and still tight. A wine that never really opened up. No rating on this wine but it's definitely not a favorite. I suppose I'll allow the remainder of this wine to sit in the bottle over a couple of days just to see if it shows a different wrinkle. This experience reminds me of why I stopped buying it.

April 29, 2023 - Closing on 10 years of age, this is ready to drink now but has plenty of life ahead of it. Lots of mineral tones, which is usually the case with this wine, but it somehow isn’t as alluring as other vintages I’ve had. For me, the 2012 remains the best vintage to date. That wine drank well young, at middle age, and 10 years out.

May 15, 2022 - Powerful, but balanced. I feared an overdone wine at first, but this had complex secondary notes and sneaky refinement to compliment an undoubtedly full fruit profile. This should drink quite well now and for at least five years.

November 14, 2020 - Better than the last bottle. Red toned fruit, some herbaceous notes. I would hold this a few more years to allow more integration. 91 tonight, potential of 93+ with time?
