August 20, 2019 - Rhys Tasting (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL): Tasting, brief note. Black meaty fruit with chocolate liqueur hints. Medium weight, good+ length. So much here, but also backward and slightly awkward right now.

May 2, 2019 - This has not evolved a whole lot in the last year, but it has become more open. It's very drinkable, if you want young Syrah. The full force of black fruit, olive, meat & herbal nuances are all there on the nose and the palate, and the tannins, while still quite strong, are mostly confined to the finish. The balance appears to be correct for significant aging, and I would expect 3-5 years to reach a stage where it is more complex, and combined with the overall drinkability it will be quite irresistible.

    October 20, 2018 - WAIT!!!!!!

This is in no way ready to be opened. Impressively so. Everything going for it if you are a fan of northern rhone syrah but wait. Just wait. at least a couple years. 5 more if you have the patience.

August 21, 2018 - Similar to other bottles - cork shows signs of saturation. Some cracked pepper but not much more.
