May 31, 2021 - Enjoyable but clearly over the hill. Will drink my remaining bottles very soon.
May 15, 2021 - Retail $35. I bought six bottles of this wine from Last Bottle five years ago for under twenty bucks a bottle and this is the last of the lot. Wunderbar. Elyse has long been of my wife's favorites and while this is throwing quite a bit of sediment, my wife is on point. A decade out and this is still delivering fantastic fruit (black and red fruit, albeit ever-so-slightly stewed), a bit of spice, menthol, and a bunch of verve. The palate? Even better. Still considerable fruit, depth, spice, and, surprisingly, tannins. But above all else? This has verve. In spades. I revise my earlier estimation. Whoa.

August 4, 2019 - Very good fruit-forward Zin with solid structure. Lacking classic Zin spicy bite; more like a Bolgheri Cab-Sangiovese blend. Still a great bottle of wine with steak or lamb.
July 26, 2019 - Good solid bottle. Not likely to improve though. Great with a Sous Vide Strip and some corn. Just a nice drinking wine.
July 4, 2019 - Fully mature and unlikely to develop or improve. This bottle was still very good, although a family member recently reported a marginal bottle. Enjoyed with grilled habanero sausage, grilled veggies, and ranch style beans. Still has fruit and some fading structure. Drink before the end of 2019 or before.
January 14, 2019 - I don't know what happened but this bottle was gone. It had nothing. All the other bottles I've had were great. Nothing bad in here to tell me it was corked, just absolutely no zip. No nose, no fruit and a weak finish.

August 27, 2018 - Same impressions as on 8/21/16. Opened and decanted 90 minutes prior to blind tasting. 2 hours later it was a 92 as the last of it was consumed.
August 23, 2018 - Very nice drinker for the price. Still has reasonable life ahead.
August 21, 2018 - Drink 'em while you got 'em. This wine is just now starting to show it is heading for its golden years. Still a decent Zin, but I find that the earlier fruit flavors are fading and the less favorable, early-stage bitter flavors are beginning to show. Could not finish bottle which is a very rare occurrence.
