February 3, 2019 - beware of deep discount wines...thought I had a bargain at 40% off - this wine did not live up to its hype; it ok....but just so so - tart, tightly wrapped; it actually softened up a bit after a day in an open bottle...aging may be worth it ..but i'm not going back to find out...

January 17, 2018 - This is still very primary right now, although the nose is quite inviting with tones of cherries, florals and olive; The palate is all about primary fruit right now and hasn't developed many olive/pepper/meat tones that I crave in Cote Rotie, but I'm confident those will emerge with another 5-10 years in bottle

January 17, 2018 - Dinner at Margeaux Brasserie (Chicago, IL): Extremely young. The nose here is just explosive; there has to be a fair bit of viognier in this for you to get such lift. It's elegant, floral, and just a bit too juicy right now. The palate has too much fruity sweetness, but that is more a function of youth than a failure in winemaking. This wine needs to be aged for it to reach its full potential.

November 25, 2016 - Au départ le vin était très gamay, explosion de fruits (bleuets, mûres) amères. Le vin est acide et s'ouvre tranquillement sur les épices. Il est peu complexe, mais très agréable à boire. À laisser en cave quelques années.
