January 16, 2024 - 13% Organic. Nice limpid pink. Complex nose - for the fruits on the nose you can refer to Forceberry’s 2016 note. At this time the wine is still quite vibrant, with a nicely balanced structure - the tannins are fully resolved with the acidity adding freshness. Finish a bit short. This has held up quite well. Purchased 2015 and kept temperature controlled since then.

December 25, 2019 - Really beautiful and unexpected. I read an article where it is compared to a Meursault and honestly, that is not so far fechted. Even so it is a mixture of red an white wine, with an extended elevage over 12 month it is not as strong and tannic as I thought. I really enjoyed it, even so the market price around 25 euro seems a little farfetched. An honestly a good meursault is far more expensive, so it depends on the perspective.

October 28, 2018 - Co-fermented white and red grapes, most unusual. Very interesting nose - aromatic and juicy, unmistakably peach cobbler! Pleasant and refreshing palate, bold acidity rounded with raspberry fruit.

May 6, 2017 - Quite probably the best rosé I ever had. That doesn't say very much, I'll grant, but this is really quite good. It is unmistakeably a rosé with the essential freshness, but the 20 months of oak gives it a bit more weight, and there's a slightly oxidative tone which brings complexity to the mix.

December 5, 2016 - A rosé that is not a rosé wine per se, but instead a "clarete" - a wine style where white and red grapes are co-fermented together, resulting in a rosé wine of sorts. This wine is a blend of Blanca del País (Albillo), Tempranillo, Grenache, Bobal and Tempranillo Gris, all vinified together. The grapes are crushed gently by foot and the wine is fermented and aged for 20 months in oak cubillos. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Total production of 6,920 bottles. 13% alcohol.

Luminous and vibrant pale pomegranate pinkish-red color. Wild, funky and slightly sappy nose with aromas of gooseberry, some crunchy redcurrant, a little bit of toasty oak character, light phenolic spice and a hint of caramel. The wine is lively, full-bodied and rather wild on the palate with somewhat oily mouthfeel and bright, complex and surprisingly robust flavors of ripe red apples, gooseberries, some redcurrants, a little bit of savory oak spice, light funky tones, a hint of leather and a touch of toffee. The wine comes across as pretty structured with its high acidity and subtle touch of gentle tannic grip. The finish is lively and juicy with vibrant, layered flavors of crunchy redcurrants, sweet apples, some stony minerality, a little bit of caramel oak, light phenolic notes of cloves and other spicy character, a hint of bright citrus fruits and a touch of smoke.

A very distinctive, fine and harmonious rosé (that really isn't a rose but instead a clarete). There's a lot of depth and complexity here, but even though the wine is quite big, it is surprisingly lean and structured as well - despite its full body it never comes across as particularly weighty or mouth-filling. Overall a very unique wine that offers a lot of complexity already, but most likely will continue to develop for years more. I'd love to re-taste this wine after +10 years. Great value at 22,50€.
