November 2, 2015 - An incredibly floral and beautiful bottle of this wine. Great depth but on a lighter frame. The 2012 has aged very well since my last bottle in March and is lovely now.

May 16, 2015 - Different from all other dolcetti we've ever tasted, also lighter in colour. Red-fruity, with fresh herbal notes, strawberries, redcurrants, rowanberries and hiprose. Seriously charming and easy-drinking, with fairly light body and density, as well as great balance. Outstanding without any doubt. Drink now.

May 12, 2015 - Tuesday Night Double Blind <$30 (Bin 75): Very pale dull ruby, pale rim; sweet floral, watermelon, strawberry, light cherry, young, some sulfur, spicy, doesn't seem like Pinot, slight radish/vegetal quality; firmer palate, some dried fruit, red and crunchy, cranberry, strawberry, light cherry; none of us were on Dolcetto.

March 27, 2015 - This bottle tasted more refined and serious than one drunk last year. There was a delightful hint of cooked strawberry to the taste and smell - which is not to say that the wine was at all sweet - as well as floral and faintly gamey notes.

February 11, 2015 - The color is pinkypurple, dense and opaque with watery edge and concentrated. The nose gives me Bordeaux-characteristics such as pencil, barnyard, bell peppers and leather. The barnyard notes has always been a show stopper for me in any wine, but in this case it has its place. It fits, and in its gentleness it lifts the wine. After more air citrus and mushrooms emerges. A good nose. The palate is powerful and concentrated but still velvety soft. Barnyard notes also on the palate here, but still the good kind. A nicely put together wine.
