January 19, 2024 - On the nose tropical accents complement a fruit profile that otherwise mostly consists of pear and citrus. Also a bit of smoke. The palate shows mostly acidity. This was nice but not much more.

May 12, 2023 - bottle purchased at Au Fils du Zinc; I've had a few bottles of Raveneau over the years and never really been totally convinced; this bottle may have been the best experience I've had; pale gold in color with initially a very austere and mineral nose; lemon peel, crushed chalk, green apple; super wound up and powerful on the palate, but very fresh and with impressive intensity; everything is very pure and classic Chablis; over 2.5 hours with dinner this continued to unfurl with more fruit and floral notes coming to the fore; the length on the finish and pure/intense flavors were a lovely package; this is still clearly quite young and has loads of time (assuming the corks hold..)
January 22, 2022 - Raveneau's 2014 Vaillons is everything you want in Cru Chablis, tensile with excellent minerality and a clear sense of terroir, tonight just entering its drinking window — unlike most Chablis of this vintage, which has been irresistible since release, Raveneau has demanded time — with a beautiful nose of lemon curd, acacia honey, and iodine. The palate shows bright acidity and great texture, carrying citrus and stone flavors that offer impressive persistence on the long, broad finish and also leave the impression of a citric-like quality to the cylindrical acidic profile. Very good. Drink now through 2038.
January 30, 2020 - Sehr helles Grüngelb. Zu Beginn etwas scheu, öffnet sich nach 20 Minuten im Dekanter aber sehr schön. Mineralisches Nase, nasser Stein, etwas Limettenzeste und Gras. Am Gaumen glasklar, nervig, fokussiert. Schneidende Säure, sehr präsent aber nicht zu vordergründig, Zitrusfrüchte (wieder Limetten), schlank und sehr elegant im Körper, eine berauschende kalksteinige Mineralik. Ein Chablis aus dem Lehrbuch.

April 18, 2019 - Chablis and Champagne Weekend; 4/17/2019-4/21/2019 (Au bon Manger, Ingo's castle, Rocaille, Le Pot d'Etain): not Blind
The nose starts really reluctant, nearly no oak discreet vanilla, citrus cest dominated, elegant and delicate, at the ned lot op power and pressure. The finish is clean and pure. No decantation. Bottle divided by four was empty in 30 minutes. 94-95 Still a lot to come
May 7, 2018 - This was really delicious. Racy, stone fruits with a vein of chalky minerals supporting it all with aplomb. Outstanding if only the price could make this gem more accessible.

May 30, 2017 - Top notch Chablis. Perfect balance, nose had lemon zest, hints of peach. Palate had a clean and sharp focus. Minerality and hint of salinity. Just delicious and easy to drink. Really the best of the best chablis wise. Only note is, i don't think it's 2x a dauvissat 1er price/quality wise.. but if given a chance, worth the splurge.
