July 20, 2021 - Very nice spine and lactic taste with a nice balance but the finale fell short a little for me

July 16, 2021 - Still good focus here, but the wine continuing to soften. Another few years still required to begin drinking this consistently.

June 18, 2021 - Tasted next to the 2014 Dauvissat Forest. Gorgeous nose of lemon, citrus, and minerals. It was quite powerful at first, but much subtler and more nuanced a few hours into the night. The palate is quite rich, yet refined with more citrus notes, crushed rocks, butter, and lots of acidity. Long finish. This still needs time, but it's going to be a great wine. Wait 5+ years. 94-95+

June 3, 2021 - Decanted to serve at HDL (sorry, no Jayer after the 97 Rouget lunch). White orchard fruit, perfectly balanced reduction, flint, Chablis minerality, all toned, graceful and elegant. Richness and precision in a glass, better than premier cru weight, more might even catch up with time. So far my favorite vintage of this wine. 93-94

April 28, 2021 - A private lunch (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Not decanted. Fifth time that I have had this and to my mind this is really Chablis-and-a-half. Even for Raveneau, this is a special wine. I do sense however that it is (finally) starting to lose some of its fleshy, youthful richness and that it is best to let it sleep for a few years now. Revisit 2026.
