November 1, 2019 - Nez discret d’embruns marins. Futur grand vin. 93-94+

    July 28, 2019 - blind, Gabriel standard
very reductive, my first idea was Burgundy, but it smelled like Pettenthal 2017 from Keller. Very spicy and smokey, flintstone and some lime in the finish. I liked it more than CD Les Enseigneres 1998 in the same flight but the most drinkers weren't so happy with the Les Clos. 2010 and 2011 were more concentrated. 95

April 19, 2019 - Wow ! Un peu fermé à l'ouverture, s'est superbement développé sur 3 heures. Bouche très ronde, minérale et agrumes. Une acidité bien présente et une grande longueur qui persiste. À attendre pour ceux qui en ont !

July 30, 2018 - This bottle of 14 clos was utterly amazing. The bottle I had in the Spring was tightly coiled, precise and acid driven and was not ready for current consumption. This bottle on the other hand was roaring out the gate. All that classic acid and light weight elegance of 14 is on full display. A package of bright present and sappy fruit expands and fills the mid palate. Intense and powerful concentration pushes through the finish without being overbearing like the 2012 Clos. There’s also a lick of salinity (ha!) that really helps the finish keep going.

May 24, 2018 - I suppose that I wouldn't open this if it were mine, but at €160 on a wine list there's a different sort of calculus. It's not much surprise that it's all lemon and mineral at this stage, though there's a classic Raveneau viscosity that adds a nice dimension. Where it really shines is on the palate. It's just massively structured and intensely energetic and mouth-watering. There's a ton to like here but yes, if it has to be stated this will, indeed, get better.
