December 31, 2020 - Decanted and drank over two days. Aroma slightly closed at first then opened up to wet limestone and cassis. Palate of wet rocks with a bit of menthol, pleasant fruit acidity and smoothish tannins. Best the first day after three hours of decant. A great QPR even at todays cost. It's ready to enjoy now and will continue to perform for several more years.

    November 15, 2020 - From a half-bottle, first of a dozen bought on release.

This is a very good claret and already quite approachable, but it's still a bit dumb and closed. Excellent concentration. Keep for a few more years, it is going to be a classic.

October 26, 2020 - A sweet and sharp nose, not hugely expressive but plenty of rich cassis, menthol, some expensive oak and stoney graphite there. A medium weight palate, well balanced with sweet fruit and some flinty, dusty tannin on the finish. No point in keeping these for another 5 years - ready to enjoy now. This is unquestionably a drinkers vintage for Lafon - a horribly pejorative term but this is very keenly priced and offered below £30 is something one can drink enthusiastically. 90

September 24, 2020 - It has good potential underneath, but requires further aging to develop some nuance and become interesting. Today, a rather simple drop. Wait 1-2 years for the next one.

August 18, 2020 - Excellent. Has many good years ahead, but drinking beautifully now. Solid St Estephe in a "weaker" vintage. Silky smooth a ND extremely moreish
