June 26, 2020 - Yellow apples, pears, pineapple, peaches, sweet caramel. Vivid acidity that counters the sweet impression.
Lively mousse, long finish. Great integration.
    Fantastic champagne, 4,5+

January 30, 2020 - 2004 champagne horizontal (110 Taillevent London): Some nice floral fruitiness, flinty and smokey, a bit sweet. Actually a good performance of Belle Epoque, which I view in general as a perma-dog in performance and rate very low.

May 15, 2019 - (Disgorged in 2013, 100% Grand Cru Chardonnay from two parcels in Cramant, dosage 8 gr/l)
Lovely youthful expression on the nose still with raspberries and chalkiness at first. Opens up with time in the glass showing more chalkiness and raspberries in a pleasant way. Very light and fresh on the crispy and youthful palate showing lemon acidity in a tight and razor sharp acidic mid, before the balanced and precise finish of lemon acidity that lasts forever. At fifteen years of age this is still a very youthful and crispy fresh cuvée combined into a beautiful expression that should evolve for many years to come.
    (Probably best 2019-2039)

November 28, 2018 - 100% Chardonnay, sourced from only the two east oriented grand cru parcels Bourrons Leroy and Bourrons du Midi. 8 years on the lees, Dosage 8gr.

04 is similar to 06, fresh, elegant, white flowers, feminine, freshness, minerals, cardamum, baking spices, more complex and developed than the standard Belle Epoque, creamy, violet, hints of raspberry. Just beautiful!

June 3, 2018 - Very interesting wine and one I can't score with only a small taste. Highly distinctive Chardonnay nose with a svelte, textured palate with a fine mousse. A unique flavor profile. Not as attractive to me as the Dom and Krug heavyweights beside it but one I'd like to try again.
