March 21, 2024 - This wine is a very good value for a Bordeaux - cherry, chocolate, herbs, and some hints of tobacco and earthiness. Decent finish and medium bodied wine. In it prime drinking window - would drink now.

June 15, 2018 - Thankfully the Michel Rolland consultation does not show up here. This vintage may be the last to get an old world style wine before this estate goes wayward.

Dark fruit, tannic with refreshing acidity, give it some more time.

June 6, 2018 - Good stuff, dark color, nice bouquet, still a bit tannic but great fruit, low alcohol but lots of flavor, should develop nicely, excellent structure with good complexity, would drink again, drank with London broil with veggies.

February 22, 2018 - Dark cherry, black raspberry and cocoa nose leads to leather, tobacco, cherry-laced dusty herbs and a bit of vanilla and gravel. Slowly opening up to become much brighter. This wine should be more well-rounded in a few years. Great value.

December 21, 2017 - Pop and pour. Tasted without food and followed for about 3 hours.
    Deep maroon color.
Nose shows some fun (merde) and some ripe plum; hint of cedar.
Looking for an inexpensive Pauillac, I picked this up at Costco for about $27.
There is a fair amount of funk here. Little hint of cedar but missing that cigar box/lead pencil, cassis, tobacco that I expect from a Pauillac.
Shows some cassis and blackberry notes, but with an off-putting funky element. Some green bean notes as well.
    Drinkable but not enjoyable.
