January 31, 2019 - A bit disappointing after a promising first bottle. This was a bit flabby and lacking in any verve. Hopefully just bottle variation.

December 16, 2018 - always fun to try a not chateau d'yquem that is good
and this is good with tight sweetness ,not overwhelming with apricots
there may be other fruits in there but it's all about the apricots for me
drank from a 375 near the end of our holiday party

October 20, 2018 - Wine Spectator newbies; 10/18/2018-10/20/2018 (Marriott Marquis): Nice to get get to try the Coutet not right on the heels of the D'Yquem. This was their top 10 wine in Wine Spectator. Still very much sweet and there is a touch of the sugar water to it, but it's more complex than that. Orange blossom, some apricots, some general freshness. There's a lingering finish. This is a great wine and a great value and generally tasty.

July 13, 2018 - Tasted at BB&R 2017 en primeur. Lovely botrytis nose. Mellow and integrated, balanced, long fine finish. Equal to the 2017 but cheaper and a bargain at £138/6 ib.
